Solid basic breakfast fare in the hidden corner of New Brighton. They are hiding in plain sight in an office building next to the new Post Office. Careful attention to the limited signage guided me to the right place. They serve a variety of the breakfast standards. Sausage and Biscuits for my wife. Italian Hash for me. The S&B has a great taste without too much salt. (next time) The Italian hash was good with a slightly sweet taste. Italian sausage, hash browns, onions, and red pepper. The eggs were actually over medium (kudos - I almost never get them just the way I want them). The wheat bread seemed to be made in house (or locally). Thick and chewey - not the same old same old. The dining room is great for larger groups. We saw two groups of 10+ when we were there.

I've been going here for a few years and this is an awesome place for a good breakfast. The room is very plain, not much on the walls. The roast beef hash, and the Italian hash are both excellent. The French toast is very good as well. If you come and there is a big group, you're going to be waiting for awhile, service slows down from the kitchen with big groups. Definitely a place to just sit and chat with friends.

We love DD's. Food is kind of like Key's Cafe- family friendly and good comfort food. The environment is very plain and nothing special. This is my favorite breakfast place in the area and would recommend it to anyone.

Blink and you'll miss this place. Try to find it on Yelp and it barely exists. Mystery in mind, some friends and I decided to meet up here. I looped around the retail area looking for a building. What I should have been looking for is a door signed with "DD's." Sounds obvious, but definitely wasn't for this first-timer. The inside of this restaurant reminds me of a senior citizen community room sans the decks of cards, dominos, and cribbage boards. Not necessarily a restaurant feel, certainly not a diner feel. More like, an informal meeting space. Luckily I was rolling with some seasoned diners, so I had a heads up on what to look for on the menu, even some insider scoop kind of info. We all agreed upon brunch, which seems to be the winning choice. French toast (order "Dan's French Toast" which isn't on the menu - french toast cooked in cinnamon and butter, and a little crispy) with eggs and a generous helping of bacon. It was the perfect amount of food. And let 's be real, it was delicious. The breakfast food is good here, folks. Service was kind, but rather slow. My friends warned me this is how it always is; diner full or empty. Be prepared to sit and hang out for a bit, this diner is meant for that.

AWESOME food, and even better service! If I'm ever nearby and hungry I'll go here! Was a little tricky to find but it's in the building across from Jimmy Johns, in the 550 main street building.

This is your traditional cafe. They serve breakfast and lunch and have all the essentials. No surprises, just good home cooked food. Great service.
